Folks
I finally got my password to work. Up till now I’ve been lurking. No longer. As my grandpa used to say, “you can never have too many forums”.
That said, now I can inflict my opinions and stuff on more unsuspecting denizens of the net. For starters, my interests are heavily in the world of ephemera and books, particularly as they relate to old tools, traditional trades and industries. I do pick up a tool every now and then, but lately those tools seem to be more for the repair of paper and books… which are, after all, mostly wood pulp. Cept for the old stuff which is nice rag content.
I’m a librarian by day, and by night, almost the same thing. Good to meet you all.
When you get tired of working that woody fibrous stuff, stop in at my website or blog so I can impose my thoughts on you some more.

Welcome Gary. You're about to meet some nice folks here. Don't be shy.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll try not to be too shy...Gary
Then I look forward to seeing your completed profile Gary.
As GRW said "Welcome Gary. You're about to meet some nice folks here." However, (but....there's always a "but") please don't be scared off if you find yourself in a maelstrom of some sort. It happens once in awhile. If it does, just come back to this thread, you'll feel better. <grin>forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
Welcome!
repair of paper and books..
That is also FineWoodworking and Book binding is a Lost Art I think? I never tried it.
Tool,
You are now officially a Knothead.
Welcome.
Have fun.
Remember the words of Forestgirl. She told me the same thing when I came onboard.
Remember,
There is no tool like an old tool.

Welcome aboard. Dedham, huh? I know the area-I work in Westwood.
Cool website.
Most nights are crystal clear, but tonight it's like he's stuck between stations.
Thanks for the welcome. I work up at Hanscom Field in Lexington. Westwood? There are so few businesses in Westwood it's strange to hear of someone working there!Best
