This ain’t much, but it was a fun little puttering project. It’s mostly poplar – around 16″ x 46″ x 5 1/2″. It hangs on a french cleat incorporated into the back. I made it mostly with hand tools. Nothing to write home about, but fun to share with Knotheads nonetheless.

If you are wondering about the small herd of Buffalo on the top, they are toys I picked up as general Buffalo anatomy reference for the carving [** very much in-progress] shown in the last pic in the album.
Thanks for looking.

S. many thanks for the look at your solutions. I now have a format for my shaves and things in the new shop. Project #34 and counting. Paddy
Added a few new pics to the album now that I added more tools to the cabinet and finished the outside with some Watco and wax. Also added some better detail pics of some of my tool holding solutions. Nothing earth shattering, by any means, but may give some ideas to those thinking about tool storage.
Hi Samson,My wife started to giggle when she looked at my various new tool holders and almost had me convinced that I was slowly loosing my marbles. Her attitude changed immediately when she learned that the raw material were scraps left from jobs I did for her/us. Now she is actively encouraging me to produce more scrap wood.
Even I am truly impressed by your handbrush altar!Fritz
A sincere thanks. I too am glad I'm not alone in my scrap puttering. ;-)
I made the holders in little bits of time I have on weeknights to get in the shop (20 minutes here - half hour there). It's fun to work out an idea for a holder, then glue up some scraps and later come back and refine them a bit.
And yeah, I had fun with the rasp cleaning brush holder. I wanted it easily accessible, but not able to slide around. A little glue, and a few scraps of maple and splinters of ebony later ....
Thanks again.
