I recently purchased a bandsaw rated a best buy in Fine Woodworking. I am a novice woodworker, but it seems to me the unit vibrates too much. I called the manufacturer and their sole advice was bring it back and get a new one, not the simplest solution.
Taking into account this is a lower cost unit: What is too much vibration? I have tuned the unit using all of the advice from previous articles and I think it cuts well, I cut a scroll and compared the top to the bottom with 90 degree square and the cut was parallel, I have experimented with resawing full 6″ wide cherry board and I get a little drift, the cut thickness stays within an 1/8″ range. Am I expecting too much from this unit, the vibration is noticeable? What can I do to tune the vibration out?
Thanks

Knowing the brand and model of the saw would help. Are you using the blade that came with the saw? If you take the blade off does the saw still vibrate when you turn it on?

It is the Rigid BS14002, and I have changed the blade to an Olson 1/2" / 3 hook Tooth. The unit does not vibrate when the blade is not removed.
Thanks
