Seems to be well thought out, I like it a lot, but I can’t seem to figure out how to connect it to all of my tools.
I know it is not a dust collector, but it would be nice to hook it up to my table saw, jointer, miter saw and router when I use them to at least keep the shop a little cleaner.
Where do I go to get adapters? I have a Jet Supersaw, Powermatic 54A jointer, Makita sliding compound miter saw and a porter cable 894PK router system.
I did buy the accessories kit, saw it came with metal tubes and was not looking forward to that but when I got it I was nicely surprised. The metal and plastic are all heavy duty. But nothing came with it to help me make connections to my power equipment.

I hope someone comes up with an answer as I have pretty much the same predicament.
What are the id and od of the hose end?
Not sure, I will check them out tonight and let you know.
This is typical regardless of the brand of vacuum you own. Small dust ports on tools come in different sizes. I have a large Fein with a 2 1/4" hose. I bought a smaller hose at HD, made by Genie, for portable tools. The end of the Genie hose is removable. With some tools, the end fits into the port, like the chop saw. On other tools I have to remove the end and the hose itself fits over the port. If the end fits in a little loose, I may put a few wraps of electrical tape on the fitting. Fortunately, for me, this hose fits just about all my tools without any other adaptors. There are plenty of adaptors for going from 2 1/4" to 4", for example, but some of these may require an additional adaptor to make the connection. I think most of us have a box full of fittings for our vacuums.

Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
Fein makes 2 adapters I have found very handy, one is a rubber sleeve that fits inside or outside the ports on many tools and the other is a stepped adapter that you trim to fit. Very inexpensive too which is unusal for Fein. By the way the smaller hose for the Turbo II will plug right into your Turbo III. Kind of nice to have that 16' length sometimes. Love that vac!!
"But nothing came with it to help me make connections to my power equipment." Forgive me for being brutal here, but that's because it's not designed to gather dust from a table saw. Don't know how big your PC vac is, but the only tools it'll likely do much good with are a sander, some help with a router, and if it's a big vac, your jointer. Everything else is going to pretty much overwhelm it and give you a false sense of security about dust. Time to get a dust collector.
Even the jointer is going to be a problem if your vac has the small hose diameter. I've used a large-hose vac (ancient Craftsman, big monster) and it worked just fine, but I'd thing the small-hose would clog pretty regularly. Maybe not....

Brutal honesty is a good thing. I am aware that it isn't made to work with a table saw or jointer and I can live with that easily. I can't get a dust collector yet so until I can this is what I have. I do understand the hazards of dust in the shop and that a shop vac is not a dust collector. It would just be nice to pull some of out with the shop vac that's all.
I am more concerned about not being able to connect up with the miter saw and router though, especially since the router is a porter cable, lol. By the way, the hose diameter does seem small to me.
The router and miter saw will probably be fairly easy to solve once you get the ID and OD and all that good stuff. Take a look at various web sites for adapters. Good luck. I absolutely hate trying to match those all up. Seems like I'm always buying the wrong thing.
Which router is it? Forgive me if you already said.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)
It's a Porter Cable 894PK router and a Porter Cable vac and when I called Porter Cable to find out what I should get to connect the two they had no answer and no part! LOL
Porter Cable makes a stepped adapter that might work for you.
Model 39342I take it you are using the through the handle adapter on the router?
Unfortunatly Porter Cable got swallowed up by Black & Pecker Default er I mean Dewalt. Try calling the old Seattle service center at 206-253-8353 and see if there are any of the P/C people still there. They had some very knowledgable folks there who always amazed me with their product knowledge. The # may of may not still work, I have'nt called it in 3 mos.
