Over a number of years I have accumulated partial cans of various oils, minwax, tried & true, tung, watco, mcclos, behlen etc. Just ’cause I could, I applied samples of each to a walnut and a maple strip. There was a remarkable difference in the colors produced in both the dark and light woods. I tend to prefer the watco danish oil.

If you haven't already tried it, I encourage you to test Liberon Finishing Oil - - I use it exclusively for my sanded-in oil finishing, and have found nothing else that compares.
