Hi everyone
I have the chance to purchase a Nova 1500 lathe but know nothing about this machine, as I’m more of a woodbutcher than worker or turner but am very interested in learning I wonder if the many knowledgeable members of this forum could help me out with any info that you might have.
Thanks in advance for all your help.

I don't know anything about the 1500, but I bought one of the first TL1000's when I lived in NZ (where they are made). This has been a great lathe & coupled with the nova chuck make a really good combination. Try http://www.teknatool.com for some info on their later models & while they mention the 1500 there doesn't appear to be much additional info. The 3000 swivel head appears to be the top of the range now.
If you have been able to have go on the lathe & you think the price is fair you won't be disapointed with the quality & the range of neat stuff to hang off them.
