Advance apologies to dial-up users. I’m posting just a few of the 70+ pics taken at the NW Woodworkers’ Fest on Saturday. I’ll put together a web page ASAP with more pics and descriptions.
First, the guest of honor in his special Cajun Microwave (La Caja China), a 70# pig that was perfect for the 30 of us for dinner! Tom’s on the left with the shovel and that’s my hubby, Nick, in the blue shirt.
Here’s the Chinese Box with the lid off, Tom’s basting the pig.

Here’s Tom, hamming for the camera on my orders, cutting the pork after 4+ hours in the box.

Here’s Tom with his big MiniMax Combo machine, examining one of the cuts during the Saw Blade Face-off. Tom spent alot of time answering questions about the MM CU-300.

The guys spent quite a bit of time with Len’s (Popeye’s) ellipsis jig. That’s Len in the white cap, Brian (Migraine) is explaining Pythagorean Theorem I believe (at the end of the bench).

And, a good time was had by all. Here are Dennis (L) and Brian (R) enjoying dinner and conversation. Dennis’ wife, Robbie is walking behind them. The mini-van on the left is the Blessed Chariot that brought my new dust collector!

What no pics of you?
Never mind. I prefer the mystery <wink>.

Measure it with a micrometer, mark it with chalk, cut it with an ax.
Why do you think I appointed myself official photographer ;-)
Len took one picture where I'm way on the other side of the room, cozying up to the new 32" sander Tom bought. Hopefully, he won't mind if I post it here. That's me in the green shirt.

Thanks for the photos, Jamie.
Looks like you all had a great time.
"Looks like you all had a great time." Everybody but the pig <g>. Tom and Kris (Tom's LOML) took us to their favorite breakfast cafe early on Saturday. I "collect" good places to eat breakfast, LOL, so that was a treat. Tom was a little worried about whether the pork would be nice and juicy, since the supplier split it rather than butterflied it (bet you didn't know a pig could mimic a butterfly!). Not to worry -- heavenly pork.
Anyone out there ever had pistachio cake? Yum! Didn't know such a thing existed, but Nick spotted it on the dessert table, in bundt-cake form, little maraschino chunks in it. I'm gonna make one next year for St. Patrick's day.forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
Speaking of LOML's -- they got their very own name tags with title included. Here's mine and Nick's. He got to explain to the other spouses what the heck LOML meant! ;-)
