Hey All,
I just want to say thank you to everyone who attended the Northwest Knotsfest today at my shop in Seattle. We had a good time didn’t we?
I’m only sorry that I didn’t have time to talk with each of you in greater detail, I hope that when you’re in the area, you’ll stop by for another visit.
Thanks also to Mark at Taunton Press for our door prizes and participation gifts. I hope you can make it out the shop someday, and if we have another party you’re coming, even if we have to drag you here kicking and sreaming.
And special thanks to Jamie (forestgirl) and Nick. A real pair of class acts, this wouldn’t have happened without your hard work and vision.
I’m hoping that folks who took photos will start posting them on the forum so we can show folks what fun we did have.
The results of the sawblade showdown will be posted in the near future, but I’ll give you a hint, the most expensive blade did not win. 😉

Great to put a face with print! The pig roast was a to-die-for event .... Really appreciate you taking the time to host the event.
Your bow work is really impressive, and all the work brought to share was of first rate quality craftsmanship.
Many thanks to you and Jamie & Nick for the outstanding effort.

And thank you Tom, for hosting the event! It was absolutely great, and I hope a springboard for a regular NW group thing.
I took over 70 pictures, and will edit them and get them posted today. Nick and I had a great time, and really enjoyed meeting people face-to-face. Thanks to Mark, as mentioned above. He won't kick and scream, but we might have to kidnap him from Taunton next year. They keep him pretty busy!
Tom, I sent you a couple emails with some questions.
A tip-o'-the-hat to the pig!

'hope everyone had a great time. It turned out my truck decided to have the front brakes crap out on Friday, far from home, and I had to spend the day Saturday dealing them it. At least I made it to Grizzly on Friday before it happened.
You missed a good one, Barry. So, how'd it go at Grizzly? Or did you start a separate thread for that?forestgirl -- you can take the girl out of the forest, but you can't take the forest out of the girl ;-)Another proud member of the "I Rocked With ToolDoc Club" .... :>)
Thanks to Tom, Jamie, Nick, and Taunton for putting the whole gathering together and providing goodies to take home! I certainly had a good time meeting some old friends and making new ones too.

PS: A couple people who weren't there got drawn for books from Taunton. I pretty much crashed yesterday, but I'll dig the books and name-slips outa my bag today and get in touch!
