Hi All,
This is my first post and it is a cry for help. I stripped my white oak kitchen cabinets(old and stained) with soy gel stripper and loved it. I mixed some clorox with pool bleach and put it on the doors and left over night to lighten them. Well they turned grey. Is there anything I can do to get the gray out?

Try 2-part bleach on a hidden spot. No guarantees, but it might fix the gray.

Do they stay gray when you wipe them with mineral spirits?
Yes, they do stay gray when I wipe them with mineral spirits. I used tap water to remove the soy gel and the bleach, and the water is very hard here in San Antonio. I rinsed them this morning with vinegar and distilled water to neutralize the bleach. They look a little less grey. I am thinking about using ocilic(sp) acid. What do you all think?

I would try the oxalic acid. Sounds like your orginal attempt you had a reaction between the clorine and iron in the water. Oxalic should take the gray from the iron back out.The Professional Termite
