Let’s try this question again, since I have had no response since the origional posting in June. I have been combing the web looking for plans for a “Friedrich’s Chair”, all to no avail. I have not been able to find anything in design books at the local library either. Can you tell me where I can find the plans or any design reference to one of these chairs.

I'm sorry you were left hanging back in June. Unfortunately I too can't find any reference to that chair. To tell you the truth, I'm not familiar with it.
A google search only surfaced one site that references a "Friedrich's Chair" and I'm not sure if this is really what you're looking for:

Fine Woodworking is relatively light on chair project plans, and the ones we do cover are pretty run of the mill. Do you have a picture you could post to give me something further to research?
