I’m making a chest of drawers with ogee bracket feet. I’ve never made them before. The problem I’m having is how to get the back sides the same width as the front after I miter the front ones. The leg is much narrowed after I make the profile on the front.
Thanks for any help!

There are about as many ways to make ogee bracket feet, as there are cabinetmakers, but this is what I do. I make a blank of wood the width and thickness called for, and long enough to make all the feet out of. Run the profile on this blank. I do this with molding planes (hollows and rounds) but a table saw, hand plane, and scrapers will work also. Then cut the miters. After you are satisfied with the fit, and before you glue them together, saw the edge profile.
*Rob Thanks for replying. think the problem is I dovetailed a flat board for the back foot,so when I made the profile of the foot (not the ogee)the width of leg is not the same. Jerry
