old bandsaw blades, new life?
There is life for those old, broken, and dull bandsaw blades. Just cut the old blade into sections about 12″ long. Stack the pieces together, alternating the teeth so that they don’t touch their neighbors. Use either same tape, or just braze the ends together,. NOW, you have a nice “rasp”. You can make it as wide, or narrow, as needed. You can make a”:rifler” file by using all fine teeth blades, or a course rasp with one of the 4 Tpi blades. Beats throwing old blades in the trash can.

Good Idea
Would go and go and not clog up like a file does.

Since the change from my local supplier to http://www.sawblade.com, I have been wondering about what to do with my old blades? I will try doing this and will keep you posted.
My local supplier sells good blades but they suddenly increased their price. Your new source for blades has affordable blades. Thanks for posting!
