I have an old B-M band saw which was a butchers saw in it's first life. It had been changed over to a wood cutting saw and worked pretty good at it. The OE guides are not vry good, and you will need to put tires on the wheels if it hasn't been done already.
Another good source of bandsaw information, and many aftermarket parts, is Iturra Design.

I've got no idea on the age of the saw, but I do know it's pretty old. I got it 12 years ago at a yard sale, and it had been painted two or three times before. As far as guides go, you should get a Carter catalog( maybe someone here can get you the address), I am pretty sure there is something in there that will fit. When the saw was the only bandsaw I owned, I was checking into it, but never got it together because I scored a real bandsaw and have been using that ever since.
