While out looking for some old Stanley planes I ran across an old Union#4 plane and a Wards Master #7 that were in good shape and they cost less than 10 bucks total so I brought them home along with some Stanleys I found, but I have a question. There is a ton of history on the Stanley but I was curious to see if there was a website that would give me some history on the Union Mfg Co and also about the Wards Master, does anyone know of a website listing any info. Also I saw one plane that had a name that started with “West” but there were no other identifying marks other than “5” on it, does any one know what the name would be?

Your Wards Master plane was made by Stanley for Montgomery Wards.
Wasn't Union made by Stanley, too?
