I’m about to retire the old Royobi AP 10 that has planed so many feet of wood. Actually, it seems to have done the retiring. I’ve got a drawer load of old disposable blades and I’m of a mind to make something from them. Perhaps I’ll fit a couple of handles and make a drawknife.
Has anyone done anything with this avalanche of fairly good steel? I’d love ideas and some pictures.

The scrap price is up these days.
Just kidding No I have never heard of a after life for the old blades.
Marking knife, panel marking guage, scratch stock, etc...... There's always something that can be made from decent tool steel. I wouldn't throw them out.
