Just acquired my first wooden plow plane and am quite excited about it. However, I know little about them so, just bought 3 books exclusively about old wooden plow planes and moulding planes. While I am waiting for them to arrive I thought I would share a couple pictures and possibly get some feedback on ID and it appears to be missing a couple parts. The only marking on the plane is on the blade, “Ohio Tool Co.”. But I realize the blade likely is not original to the plane. Does anyone venture to ID this unmarked plane and comment on any aspect of it. In addition, on the underside it is missing a plate that seats in the base. The mortise is free of real damage but clearly indicates a missing part. Also, there is a small hole in the top that is missing some sort of metallic or brass tightening screw. I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thanks. Lester

Old plow plane
Lester
It has been a long time since I have been on this forum, but I was poking around and I see your post is over a month old with no reply, so I thought I would at least give you one.
By now you have most likely received your books and have figured out that the parts you are missing are for the depth stop plate and adjustment screw. The hole on the top of the body is of course for the adjusment screw. I would have expected to see a hole through the side as well for aother thumb screw to lock the stop, but there are a number of variations of depth stops.
I would feel confident saying that that blade is original and yours is an Ohio Tool plow plane. There are gobs of Ohio Tool planes still out there. Not much for collectables but great users. With some luck you may be able to find a depth stop plate to fit your plane.
