My father in law found an old gas station that is being torn down where he lives. He has talked to the guy who owns the station and has found that he is interested in selling the wood. The station owner told my father in law that the wood was Ponderosa Pine and was approximately 75 years old. The pine is 1 x 16 and various in length from 10 – 15 feet. He told my father in law he wanted to get “as much as he could” for the lumber.
My question to this most esteemed audience is this… What would be a fair price for this lumber (or what you would pay for it)? Or, is there a web site out there somewhere that I missed where I can find out this info?
Thanks!

Here are two sites that sell reclaimed timbers:

A Google, as usual, will provide you with several more. Here's my search string:

Thanks Lady of the Forest! A great place to start (I thought as I said "Duh!?!").
