Hello everyone,
First of all I’d like to thank everyone who participates in these forums.
We are truly a remarkable resource for each other!
Ok, on to the topic, I found this old “Spring Lathe” in a building here in Bmore and am contemplating converting it to woodworking use.
On the upside, it’s pretty massive, has a long bed, a variable speed motor and it’s free!
Downside is the rails are kinda crapped up and there will be some costs figuring out to change it over to woodworking use.
I am not a lathe guy at the moment so it’s tough for me to evaluate it’s potential.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks ,
Tom
