I could have sworn I posted a question earlyer but I cant find it now! This computer hates me!!
Now to ask again, I have a Stanley router which is refered to as R2D2 as the top is domed instead of flat like all new ones. It is Model #M110.02 , Serial # 631303. It is rated at 8 amps.
Does anyone know of the age of this thing or any literature on it?

Is it chrome? I have an old Craftsman router that is all silver, and looks a little like R2D2 :-) It might have been a knock-off of a Stanley. LMK -- I might have some paperwork with it.
Stanley sold the entire power tool division to Bosch in the late 70's or early 80's - Bosch maintained parts/manuals for 10 years or so and now claim they no longer service Stanley power tools. However, you might seek out a Bosch repair station - particularly a non-company service firm as they may still have old Stanley parts/manuals. Also, there are some Stanley Tool collectors out there - use the web to find them and they may have access to parts. Good luck!
