I just inherited a Walker-Turner bandsaw, a Craftsman bench/table saw, and a Craftsman lathe from my wife’s grandfather. They all have to be at least 30 years old. I wanted to know if there was a source for old manuals so I can tune them up before I start working with them.

They have many of the manuals on line. And if you can't find it, ask someone on the site. they are very helpful.
Dominic
thanks. i've already been to their site and they don't seem to have anything for these machines, but i'll ask.
My father just a couple of weeks ago replaced the shivespully's on his 1957 crafstman (rockwell) tablesaw. I went on line for him under sears parts, brought up the model number and bingo, a scematic came up and all the parts are still available. I don't know about manuals, but I don't see why not. Give it a try.
Bear in mind some things have change. His motor is no longer available, but it has been replaced with a more efficient one.

thanks. they can get me parts, but no schematic and no manuals. calling their 800# was really frustrating.
Just a suggestion, but if you want anything from sears, skip the 800# and look for it on line first. Much less aggrevating, and I think they just have bodies there to answer the phone. Their knowledge is limited to say the mostleast. ;^)
Don
PS>>>For schematics, just download them from the computer or print them.

thanks. the schematics wouldn't come up for these tools. i'll try again.
Down at the bottom of the parts listing is a little box that says, "view schematic." Click on that. Easy to miss is you didn't know it was there. sorry for not pointing that out.
Don
I tried that. Worked for the table saw, couldn't get an image to load for the lathe.
Thanks
