I have a Power Kraft (sold by Montgomery Wards) 16 inch band saw.
mo.# 4FD 14045. It has a 16″ x 16″ cast iron table. 16″x11/4″ wheels. 111″ blade. This is a good hard working saw, Probably made in the 1950s. I bought this saw at an auction a few years ago and there was no paperwork with it.
Do’s anyone know where I can get info or a manual?
I also have a 24″ scroll saw made by Delta Specialty Co. Milwaukee, Wis. copywrite1932. This saw has an ecentric cam drive gearbox under the table, the blade attaches to jaws on a shaft from the gearbox. The top blade jaw vise is missing. Blade tension is done by downward pressure on the shaft above the upper vise. Where can I get parts and other info? I already tried Delta as we know it today, they have no records.

Sometimes you just have to wingit and use a machine shop to fab parts. Buying used has it's risks and rewards. Most any tool can be fixed but depending on your level of inventiveness it sometimes is cheaper to toss it and buy a new one especially in the home shop stuff
Thanks Rick. I have been thinking of a new band saw for some time now,but I'm not ready to quit on this yet.
Unless this one is different somehow, Delta made the 24" scroll saw from the 30's up to the 80's, virtually unchanged. I see ebay listings for these saws, and for saws being parted-out, all the time. A search on "Delta scroll saw" gave me a half dozen listings for parts, and every time I look I see at least some parts, and often whole machines being sold bit by bit. I find it odd that Delta has nothing on that machine (they provided me with a parts list for my 30's lathe), unless it's an oddball. With so many of the saw I'm thinking of out there, parts shouldn't be too hard to find on the used market.
Be seeing you...
Thanks for the info Tom. I will be searching the net as you suggested. I also thought it strange Delta had no record of the saw.I even sent polaroid photos and written discriptions. this was about six years ago so i'll try again.
