I picked up a box of saw blades at a flea market a while back and had forgotten all about them. I just went through them and most of the are steel except for a couple. One is an Oldham 8.5″ 48-Tooth Industrial Carbide Blade. Part Number is 850-P7548. It says the intended use is for cutting non ferrous metals and must be used with lubricant. Additonaly, the blade says its of the “Professional Series” and that it is of the “Carbide X-cel” trademark. Oldham has no information on their web site. The blade is brand new and the packaging has never been opened.
One other interesting blade was a 6.5″ Disston Premium circular saw combo blade made from carbon steel. It too has never been openend. The sticker price is $4.49.
And then there is the “Credo” cyclone.. Tensioned and Balanced Professional Quality Steel Blade for Plywood Panel Cutting. Performance Guaranteed or your money back from the Credo Company in Woodburn Oregon. And the sticker price is…… $10.49.
The rest of the blades were all Craftsman except one Delta (all steel).
Just call me the junk man…. Maybe I can recycle them into plane blades.

I hear old saw blades make nice knives. The rusty pitted ones can make some nice character i once you remove the rust and smooth out your bevel.
