on/off switch replacement for Laguna bandsaw
I have a broken on / off switch on my Laguna 14SE bandsaw. This is a 14 year old saw that gets moderate use. Laguna wants $200 to replace the switch.
Does anyone know of a less expensive alternative?
The saw is wired for 220V if that helps. Thanks for any recommendations .

Any chance you can post a picture, my web search has Laguna using a bunch of different types of switches.
Any magnetic switch will do, search Amazon for 240v magnetic switch. https://www.amazon.ca/-/fr/18823-Interrupteur-magn%C3%A9tique-monophas%C3%A9-220-240/dp/B002LVUWHM/ref=sr_1_50?__mk_fr_CA=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&keywords=magnetochemistry+switch+240&qid=1636848509&sr=8-50
What solution did you come up with this bandsaw. I recently got one and the switch will only work if you hold the button in. I tried to get a new contactor for it and it is very difficult to get one. Seems like they only sell them in Europe.I ordered a switch off of Amazon. The problem I am having with it is the laguna has more wires coming into the original switch then I have spots for in the new switch.
Thanks
The magnetic switch on my Unisaw died several years ago. Delta no longer could supply a repacement. Grizzly has a replacement which works just as well as the original equipment.
