I’ve owned Oneida’s larger machines in a cabinet shop and I love their products/service. There’s not much feedback around the web about this little machine. Bill Peck gave it a great review in the Aug 16 FWW. I’m happily working wood as a hobbiest now w/ < 400sf of space and the basics: 36″ cabinet saw, 8″ jointer, bench top planer etc.
Would love to hear from owners of the newer version. I plan to use it tool to tool. No or very little pipe. Thanks! Jack

Bought the Mini Gorilla about 9 months ago. Generally pleased with it. Expensive, $1400 dollars. Assembly a mild pain & they give you a few wrong bolts - you have to go to local hardware store & spend a other $4. Only one problem so far, a faulty switch. They quickly sent me a replacement and I installed myself in 5 minutes. The switch gave another user fits for a time. Oneida discovered the motor supplied had bad switches - I understand they responded to his problem very well, even sending him a new motor. I put it on a 20 amp electric line. Good dust collection. I got it for the HEPA filter. And it does a great job. It is portable but capacity is small. Got to empty bucket frequently. I feel it is the best HEPA portable on the market for the hobbiest. A few glitches but I would buy it again. Let me know if you have any more questions.
My general impression is that it works pretty well but seems pretty cheaply made for the price and has a few design issues. Mine arrived with a couple of moderate cracks which I epoxied. The legs and casters are just cheap. I find removing the filter for cleaning more cumbersome than necessary and the small collection bin is a pain to reattach and seal. I needed a unit that was small and light but I wish I would have tried the Laguna.
Great feedback..Thanks!! I'm really interested in the HEPA aspect myself. Besides health concerns I just put mini-split AC in my shop and want to keep out as much dust as possible. I really hate to spend $1400 on a cheaply made unit. I've been looking at the Laguna HEPA units too. Our local Woodcraft had one on the floor. Seems well made and that dust bin apparatus is just cool! It's just a bit larger than I want. I bought a Laguna 8" jointer 6 months ago and very happy with fit/finish/operation etc. Their DCs seem comparable.
Yes, the Laguna looks interesting but it is large. I have my Oneida set up between my Dewalt lunch box planer and bandsaw. I would be concerned that a larger unit would really reduce portability.
My Oneida Mini Dust Gorilla arrived in late April. I got the 220v model.
The packaging was good, it arrived via UPS without any damage. All of the boxes were manageable. It was a project putting it together, but I didn’t have any problems, all of the parts were there and I didn’t have to drill any holes. Instructions were clear.
I am currently using it with my Sawstop PCS table saw and my separate router table. Works well.
It’s not quiet, but not as loud as my CT22, or at least it’s a lower frequency. It moves around easily.
Overall, I am happy with it and would recommend it if you need a dust collector that is movable and has good air flow.
Also, I got a set of 5" MagPorts (https://magport.net) and these make it very easy to connect the flexible hose to different machines. Two pictures attached.
Thanks! First time I've seen the Mag ports..neat idea! I have the SS PCS with the Industrial base same as you.
Sounds you would buy the Oneida again...right?
Yes, I would buy it again.
