I am thinking about buying the Yorkcraft 20 inch planer (YC-20P). I would love to correspond with someone who already has used this planer regarding their experience and opinion. Thanks.

Just purchased a new Yorkcraft 20".
So far I have uncrated, cleaned, bolted loose parts (tables, etc.) connected to dust collector, started up and dressed a few feet of rough lumber (cherry, w pine & walnut).
Nice, heavy built machine. No adjusting was needed. Results were very good, with a (new knife) smooth surface, very little end snipe, good feed, good design with the top rollers for returning the stock and built in transport wheels. I am impressed, especially considering the very competitive cost.

Thank you so much for responding. If you subsequently have bad experiences or problems, let me know. Sounds like a great machine for the home woodworker.
