I know they’re frowned on but I’m looking to get a detail sander. It would be used to get into case corners to clean up water marks from glue cleanup. I’m better at glueing but the cleanup is still pretty sloppy. Recommendations of what to buy or what NOT to buy are appreciated.
I’d also like recommendations on a ROS. Right now I have an old 5″ BOsch 3283 that blows dust everywhere. I’d like to replace it with something better.
Thanks.

To be honest, you should learn to apply the right amount of glue so that there is not excess squeeze out. You can't avoid all squeeze out. I clean up after the glue has set up slightly with a sharp chisel. You need to do this before it gets hard. Using water can just spread the glue around and force it into open grain.
Trying to get a detail sander into corners will often result in banged up corners from the vibrating head. I own a Fein multimaster and it's detail sanding uses are very limited. It's a good tool but it's still a power sander. I can get a better and faster job by hand. I'm fairly loyal to PC power tools because they have worked and lasted for me. I own the 7336 right angle RO. When I bought it it was not available with the hook and loop pads or the dust collection hood. I have added both these features to the sander and I think it is a great tool. I have also used their smaller RO with dust collection and it works nicely. I don't like to use sanders very much. I do use a belt sander to remove machine marks and a card scraper for a finished surface with hardwoods. I use hand sanding also. Random orbit sanders leave little spring shaped marks so I use them for paint prep or removing filler but I try to limit their use on furniture and cabinet surfaces. Folks that do a lot of sanding like the Fein, Fesstool or for production the Dynabrade sanders.
Beat it to fit / Paint it to match
