Oshlun dado
http://www.eagleamerica.com/product/601-2008/table_saw_blades
IMHO it is a big bang for the buck. I have used it and do not hesitate recommending it. The great feature is that it does not cut the little "bat ears" in the bottom corners. The resulting plough/ dado looks like it was cut with a router bit.
Haven't tried it but have heard good comments from those that have. I sold my Freud dado set and purchase a Freud Box joint set. I can cut exact 1/4" and 3/8" dadoes with that and anything over I built an adjusting dado jig for my router which uses a 1/2" straight bit with two passes after the actual piece going into the dado supplies the jig with the exact set up for it's thickness. So... if I were going to purchase a dado set... that is where I would go. I do have one Oshland 40 T blade for $25 and it is actually very good taking MDF and general cutting task. Bang for buck as Bruce stated is correct IMO.
Dado Blade
I have had this dado set for two years and it is the best one I've used. I've used in everything from pine to oak and it cuts great and leaves a clean flat bottom. I wrote a review for the blade on Rockler's website awhile back as well. It is not only a great bargain but a fine blade set as well
