I have been looking around the web for awhile for plans for an outside chair for a patio. It seems if I was wanting Adirondack chairs it would be easy, but I can’t seem to find any dining chairs for my table. I almost am ready to just try to build a sample chair from some pine but I never have built a chair before and am looking for a but of a head start. I looked around for chairs to take apart for templates but I don’t really want to spend $500-1000 on a chair to take apart! My final chairs will be made from either a teak variety or possibly black locust.
Any help on designs for a comfortable chair or any leads to good plans would be GREATLY appreciated.
Cheers.

I guess I can't point you to any chair plans directly but you might consider just looking at other chairs intended for indoor use and make them out of Spanish cedar or Ipe or teak if you can afford it.
There's a Japanese Garden Bench article here on the FWW site that could be modified into a lounge chair fairly easily.
Yeah, thats the route I have been thinking I will do. I liked the look of the bench and will likely build a chair mock-up with a bench to follow.
I guess I was just hoping for a quick easy route that may get the better half off my tail!
