Dear Friends.
Well, I am at it again !! This time I want to turn a bowl, for outdoor use. Actually it is going to help cover my well. My question is, other than cypress,is there anyother wood that is suitable for use is the great outdoors ???????
Thanks, Wantobe

Teak, Osage Orange (Bois d'arc or hedge) Black Locusts. Osage Orange is a very hard durable wood. Pretty bright orange when cut, turns a brown in the sun. Hard on tools though. But it will be ages until it shows signs of being outdoors. many a cornerpost on farms in the midwest have had osage orange for 50+ years
Iroko, cholophora excelsa. Known here as a poor man's teak. Works great out side and is relatively cheap. (here anyway).
