Yes, just like a novice idiot that I am, I over over sanded parts (primarily surfaces of 4 drawers with glued on handles) of what was a good teak desk. I tried touching up those light spots with natural teak stain but deep teak streaks and shads show all around the lighter area that was over sanded. Any suggestions other than having the veneer resurfaced ? Thanks, Gene Klein, FL

Gene;
Try getting a stain that matches the rest of your teak. Put the stain right on the lighter areas for a colour match and put some clear paint thinner on the rest of the drawer. If you get the stain that matches the rest of the drawer then just take a rag and make sure the outside darker edges of the place you are trying to stain is wet with thinner. Take another rag and wet it slightly with the stain and feather in the stain to the lighter area. Dabbing might do it if you have a small area. What it looks like wet will look like finished. The marks and streaks are the other stain I'm presuming. If you can't get them out try stripping the whole drawer but make sure you just apply stripper lightly to the lighter areas and don't leave the stripper on in those areas very long. Reveneering is such a hassle in this humid weather try this first. Good Luck. Cindi
