Pad movement in Porter Cable 97355/97366
How does exactly does the motion of the pad in the Porter Cable 97355/97366 right angle sander compare with that of, say, the Bosch 1250DEVS in aggressive mode? To be more specific, does the motion resemble that of regular palm-grip sanders in which the orbit of the pad is powered but the *spin* itself is not (generally free-wheeling spin)? Or is it like the Bosch in turbo mode in which I believe the motor gets coupled to the spin itself, so that now there is a motor-powered orbit PLUS a motor-powered spin, the latter being just like a non-random-orbit DISK sander?
thanks – Ram.

the pc orbit is driven by a free wheeling counterweight, not geared like the Bosch
so trying to sand too aggressively stops the spinning and defeats the random orbit action
