PADDING SHELLAC FOR PROJECT WITH CURVED SURFACES

I have made candlestick holders out of walnut. I would like to finish them with shellac. However, the entire surfaces of the holders are curved. Question: is it possible to pad shellac on curved surfaces?

I would do it with a spray can of shellac. 2-3 coats and it would be a smooth finish -
