Hello all.
I have an old Broyhill dresser that was ruined in a flood, however the drawer face in the center top row is perfectly fine.
I want to remove the finish and paint the face, but in the center there is a design cut into the wood of a vine with leaves.
I was wondering if there was some product that would allow me to fill in the design, sand it flush with the drawer face, paint over it, then remove the filler once the paint dries so that the brown finish is still intact.

Liquid Frisket is a masking fluid that artists use as masking on paper and canvas. It has latex rubber in it so it can be peeled...not sure it will work here, but worth a look.
