I’ve recently purchased a Porter-Cable C3551 air compressor. Now, I’m investigating palm nailers and am looking for input.
By far, the best reviews I’ve read so far have been for the Senco A9, but that model has been discontinued. However, the A20 (Senco’s replacement model for the A9) evidently isn’t living up to the A9’s reputation.
I’m really not partial to a certain brand or necessarily finding the cheapest tool on the market either. Mainly, I’m looking for a well designed, dependable tool that I’ll enjoy using for years to come.
All input is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I bought the Grizzly for $20. It's okay, the nailing piston is not
centered in the cylinder, so it sticks occasionally. Since I don't use it very often, it's fine for the $60 difference with HD's price on the Senco. I don't recommend it for regular use.

I have the A9 and it's as good as any other IMHO, but none are as good (read:easy to use) as any nail gun. It takes a practiced hand for consistent results and pressure is very important. Mine drives well at 80lbs, wont work at 70#s and is erratic at/over 100#s. But if you can get your fist in and there's no room for a hammer it's money well spent. Finishing nails are tricky. Practice on scrap before using on real work.
