Has anyone tried the Veritas Panel Clamps? I currently use cauls to keep my panels straight as I imagine most of us do but am looking for an easier way. I would appreciate your info. not just whether they work or not but how they work. As best I can tell the clamping post “pulls” the caul taut to ensure no bowing in the panel. Thanks. PMM

I've been using cauls for 25 years and have worked in the industry with all kinds of huge paenl clamps. The curved cauls are the simplest low tech thing you can use. Better than the Plano as I always get perfect registration. I plane to finish thickness and glue up with curved cauls and only have to scrape the glue and sand. I glue up 4' x 8' panels in one shot single handed. The curved cauls are best as you can use bent pipe clamps and quick clamps which are the basics of any shop.
The veritas would be a lot more work and extremely limited. Are you using curved cauls?? Straight don't work properly.
