I am searching for the panel raising bit CMT 890.502.11. This is the bit used to raise the panels for the Lonnie Bird desk/bookcase. I found the bit for 75 dollars from a supplier but thought.. maybe somebody out there built a desk, hasn’t used the bit much and might want to sell the bit?? Maybe the small arch door set??
Send word if you need some buckaroos for another toy.

CMT 890.502.11. is the large panel raising bit(3 1/4) its used to make a straight raised panel on a 5/8 thick piece of wood.
I think the one you are asking about is for the small door and frame in the gallery that covers the prospect box??
I will check the numbers again. Do you have that set??
dan

The bit set I am looking to buy USED is:
CMT 800.524.11 the Lonnie Bird Small arched door set.
It just seems to make sense to take a route other than buying it new. I am only making one desk/bookcase and the cost of the bits is around 175.00 for the set.
Just need to wait I guess and think on it or carve the arch by hand which is what it is looking like at this point.

You will probobly use it again..or...buy what you need new and sell it when you're done...(craigs list, etc) jimmy
Can't help you with that one. Amazon lists it for $149 if you can't find a used set.
Good luck..------------------------------------
