I just purchased a 24″ X 96″ sheet of veneer for a project I’m working on. The sheet came with a paper backing on it. Do you recommend that I remove the paper backing and if so, how can I easily do that or do I leave it on and glue it down as is? I’m going to be using hide glue to attach it to the substrate. Thanks for the help!!

Some paper backed veneer has pressure sensitive adhesive applied. It depends on what you purchased.
No expert but generally the paper is not removed. The paper helps hide irregularities from the surface applied. Some veneer have thicker paper applied.
There are many sources of information out on the net.
