I purchased a Delta Cabinet saw a few months back and it has a Paralok 2 fence currently attached. I plan on going with a different fence and wondering the best place to sell this. I have read that many believe they were the best fence produced but are hard to find since they are no longer being made. Also since I cannot find any others for sale, what is a reasonable and fair lrice I should ask and expect?

Color me interested. Not sure how best to contact you directly, but am always on the lookout for one of these. Bob
if these things are so good why are you trying to sell it.
There is a trail of great products that fell off for one reason or another. Folks who restore old arn breathe new life into many fine items that are no longer made. The Paralock fence is one of those. The cable system that maintains alignment is very cool. I would have to be driven by a significant need to part with that. I hope you figure out how to get together with ctsailor. that connection may make you both happy. Another reason I wish we had some sort of PM tool here.

The fence is still on the saw but I would prefer something more modern and simple. Actually already ordered the Delta T3
But can anyone tell me or give me a little insight as to what the fence should or a fair selling price is?

More modern doesn't equal better. The Paralock was an excellent design, better than the top of the line Biesemeyer and it's clones. It's major advantage was speed and accuracy, there was no distance between the cursor on the fence and scale so no optical offset depending viewing angle. The fence was parallel to the blade even when unlocked so it didn't jump slightly to square itself when clamped like the Biesemeyer design, requiring minute adjustments to put it on target. It also locked fore and aft. It was easy to adjust to parallel and quick to remove from the saw when need be. When I replaced the Jetlock fence on my older Unisaw choosing the Paralock vs Biesemeyer was a no brainer. When the major manufacturers started putting Biesemeyers and their clones on saws as standard equipment it ruined the market for the superior fence as the factory fences were now "good enough" and not worth a few hundred dollars to replace. Thus, a superior design disappeared, anyway that's my theory. I'm afraid you have spent a couple of hundred dollars to downgrade your saw for a new shiny object :-). On the bright side though, you are going to make someone else very happy with your old less modern fence. As far as price goes, I would reference it in value to a used Biesemeyer commercial grade fence, maybe in the $300 range +- if in good shape (Hard to judge condition from photo). They are almost impossible to find.
Good Luck
Rob
Have you sold this fence? I want to purchase this type of fence so that is why I am asking.
I do still have the fence and it’s still attached to the saw. What do you think would be a reasonable price?
are you still trying to sell this fence? I may be interested. :-)
I had a Paralok on my old Unisaw for 15 years before selling the saw. Although I’m happy with my Sawstop’s fence, it doesn’t compare to the Paralok. It was rock-solid accurate and parallel all that time.
Came across this thread by accident. For whatever it's worth I have had a Paralok fence on my Unisaw for over 30 years. Would not sell it for any amount. It is vastly superior to any other fence design.
