Anyone have any information on the joinery used to make a Parsons table?
I haven’t worked with (and don’t have the req’d equipment) veneer and was hoping to do this in solid stock/veneered ply.
Thanks.

I did a real simple one out of painted 5/8 particle board several years ago. It made a nifty stand for my computer. The table went from sheet goods to sanding in about an hour. Check out this link:

I have no idea if such a plan would work with solid stock, but I am sure that somebody on this forum does!

Thanks for the link. I am planning on building a dining room table and want to use solid stock, with traditional mortise/tenon joinery. However, it does make me think about things a little differently ...Thanks
My father had a veneered Parsons "style" dining table he picked up in the early 50's. A massive piece that would seat 14 when fully extended. I recall it had a center leg under the extension carriage.
Good luck on your project and post a picture of the finished piece.
Best!
