I purchased a used one of these kits with 3 hinge templates for use in locating the hinge mortises on some carriage doors i am building. problem is, i am using 4 hinges. i posted here a while ago about this & someone said to maybe just slide the template up or down the door or jamb for the 4th hinge. seems like not quite that easy. any body have any other advice? seems like i really need the 4 hinge template…. thanks

Do all the doors with three hinges. Then move the middle template, and do all the doors for the 4th hinge.
4 hinge template is ideal. Things are seldom ideal.
