I see Peltor has “improved” hearing protection muffs with digital radio. I have the older Peltor worktunes and have had the usual problems –
- poor radio reception
- batteries run down unless taken out when not in use
- the battery cover will not stay on
- hard to tune
- losing radio tuning when bumped during use.
- they have now quit working at all
Even with all these problems I am considering buying another pair because I like to listen to the radio while I mow lawn and work in shop etc. Has anybody used the new ones with the digital radio and have they fixed some of the problems listed above ?

"Worktunes" is an AOSafety product. I have a pair and they work great. None of the problems you listed, with the possible exception of poor reception, but (a) we don't have great reception here on the Island anyway and (b) could be that is somewhat a problem with most headsets, just don't know.
Actually Worktunes was originally a Peltor product but I believe AOSafe and Peltor merged or bought one another or some other corporate conquests that are too hard to keep up with. I have the Peltor set and only have a problem with the batteries if the switch (which is fiddly) isn't turned off otherwise they'll last over a hundred hours of playtime. Haven't seen the new Peltor so can't comment but it would be nice if they had a mini input jack to use MP3 players.
the only complaint I have with my worktunes is that they are extremely difficult to tune, and sometimes loose the station if I turn and face 90 degrees away from where I stood when I first got the station in - even with fm.
I have been thinking about getting one of these (not promoting this seller, just I was watching this item)
