I have their Tempest cyclone. It is well made, works perfectly and has run all day nearly every day for years. I have a commercial shop.
Mark,
I have used the Penn State DC-500 for years no problems, after I adjust the impeller, plus I had to wait for the bags to ship, they shipped it without them. Other then that and their customer service rep everything was okay. But again that was years ago. But how much can go wrong with a dust collector? On second thought I’d go with the Oneida.

Mark,
Great web site, do you dreams about all those little cubby holes for those bottles wow thats a lot of little cuts to make.
As for dc's I have a shop fox and love it. Mines most likely a little big for what you need I have the 5 hp it's to big for a basement at just shy of 9', but they do make a 3 hp unit.
when I bought mine they had the best bang for the buck. I got prices on all the big names. Shop Fox's pricing is really good, for a very well built machine. This thing runs most of the day and what I was suprised by is that it isn't as loud as I had expected it would be. I have never had a problem with it, but I did need to replace a handle for for my Joiner. There customer service got the part out to me right away, and they were pleasant to deal with.

Make sure to et at least one extra remote control fob
As D. Green.. I have had and used the PS Tempest Cyclone for about 4 years. In the last two years since retirement it gets run almost daily and sometimes for consecutive 2-4 hour runs. I also have have a small PS 1 HP DC I purchased 8 years ago that I use exclusively for my SCMS and router table.
I am completely happy with both quality.. price and service after the sale and wouldn't hesitate to purchase again.
Good luck...
