I have used this sander for several years and am generally pleased with the quality of the sanded surface. However there are times when the abrasive strip will lap the edge and cause a mark on the work. If anyone has had the same problem and has found the answer, please advise. I always stop the machine after a few minutes running and re-adjust the inboard clamp, this seems to help.I await your comments. ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬PAT¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬ Thank you Mr.Croney, wherever you may be

Mine has done this a few times as well. Each time I believe I wrapped the paper too close and to fast. When turned on instead of the gap being taken up by the inboard clamp the paper rolls over itself. I now load the paper with a slight gap between the rows. That is I can just see a slice of aluminum between the rows. I haven't had the problem since doing so.
Good luck,
Dave
Dave: what you say makes sense.I will try this and get back in a day or so.
