15 months ago I completed a table with a live edge. Recently, I noted small amount of saw dust under one corner. A 1foot section of bark was loose and when removed there is evidence of insect damage. I removed the loose bark sections and want to know how to get rid of the bugs before gluing bark back on. Any ideas?? Any help would be appreciated.

Squirt some Loctite Super Glue into the cracks?
Beatle or Beetle
Your insect is a powder post beetle. Not sure if is digging its way in to lay eggs or if they are eggs that have hatched are on the way out as adults. Either way, I would use Mineral spirits and a syringe and inject this into any tunnels or cracks around tunnels you see. Do it several times and allow some time to see if it worked before you glue it back on.

Thanks for your advice, will give it a try! One of the employees at Woodcraft then recommended using epoxy to fill the voids and then glue.
