Second hand through Chris Schwarz is a question regarding the date and locality of the image entitled
WHAT THE WELL DRESSED CARPENTER WEARS TO WORK. c1880.

Unfortunately there was no identifying information on this albumen photograph. Judging by the clothes, the date appears to be 1885-1890. The wood used in the rear wall appears to be a pine or similar softwood. The railing under construction may tell someone who is versed in architectural styles more. If anyone has any ideas based upon the wood and the construction details, please pass it on to me and I’ll pass it on to Chris and our interested party.
