I was wondering how to use the photo matching feature in sketchup. I tried on a simple table, and when I was done I tried rotating the piece so I could make it a 3d model and the line were going all over the place!
On the same note is there a hotkey that will allow you to change the orentation a box will be draw at?
Thanks -Tim

Did you check out the help screen yet? This topic is in the Camera Tools heading.
I followed thier instructions step by step. But what was hapening was that some thins were locking to the origin or axis and other weren't. I can't figure out why this was happening But when I rotated the picture things went all crazy with lines going everywhere.
Tim,
When you are doing a photomatch you need to be very careful to watch for the red, green and blue rubber band lines as you draw line. When I use photomatch to draw a piece of furniture, I start by dragging out some guides. For a table I might drag one off each horizontal axis to the bottom of the legs. Then I drag guides off of those to get the corners for the opposite legs. Those four guides give me a plane to start drawing on. From there it is basically draw what you see.
Remember to make sure that as you're drawing your lines, you pay attention to the color of the trailing lines.
Try this site, http://www.go-2-school.com/, and check out their video section. I believe they have a few free videos that go over the photomatch feature.
