Does anyone have photos of pine aged with nitric acid he can post or a link to a site that has some? I’d like to see what the result is before I go to the trouble of finding and purchasing the acid.

You might be able to find an image on google images if you look at enough images.
I'd expect to see nitric acit (+heat) provide a yellow tone, but how amber I can't tell you--it might depend on the particular board as well. Using chemical stains that react with elements in the wood always run the risk of not being uniform when all the boards of a project aren't from the same tree.
Nitric acid is messy, and can be dangerous. If you don't already know that you mix acid into water, and not the otherway around, you should really think twice about using the acid. Aniline dyes can provide much the same look as any of the chemical stains, a look that is more consistant and is easier to use.
Thanks. I found a pic at http://www.refinishwizard.com
