I need to make several large frames for expensive prints. How should the wood be finished for long term protection of the art as part of conservation or ‘museum’ quality matting and framing?

There is also specific aluminum tape that is used to line the rabbets of the picture frame to protect the framed contents. I bought this tape at a framing supply place. You can also get it from Dick Blick. It's called frame sealing tape.
