Does anyone have any idea where I can buy a good mortise chisel, the type sometimes referred to as a “pigsticker”??? The blade is deeper than it is wide, and tapered toward the point.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I don't know your location but I would suggest that you try to locate a nearby blacksmith and have him make you the ones that you need. I think you are likely to get a better quality that way than you will find offered around. The price may be a bit higher but it could be somewhat lower too.
Garret Wade has what you're describing. http://www.garretwade.com
