I had a kid do some pretty good damage to my finished basement walls. They are a tongue and groove pine and they have a fairly yellow tint to them. The house is only 15 years old, and I am guessing they did this basement 10 years or less ago. I sanded out most of the damage so that it won’t show but now I am not sure how to get the “yellow” tint back where I sanded so it will match (as close as possible) the rest of the walls. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I had the same deal a few months ago.
Amber shellac came pretty close to matching the old boards.

Shellac is your best bet. Use light coats and repeat (it dries really fast anyway) until the color looks just a tad lighter than you're aiming for. In no time it'll darken up just that extra bit to match (more or less).
Looks like amber shellac is the way to go.
Thanks guys!
